Default OFFICIAL Suggest-A-Movie Megathread

I need the community to help for a movie recommendation. I'm a middle aged American husband and father of 3 who has been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety lately. I should feel good, because on paper everything is going fine but I am suffering from anxiety attacks and have not been able to sleep much for weeks now.

As I seek out a therapist, I've found that sometimes a tense and/or nerve-wracking movie can give me a little relief. I am also trying to branch out socially beyond my wife and kids, to make some new friends in the world. I think that might help save me.

Please recommend a movie that will change my perspective on life either to see how good I have it, or to just numb me for another day, but ultimately I want to learn to love myself again, because that's been lost.

Thank you!

Definitely not family viewing, but much of Gaspar Noe’s work might fit the bill. The first one that sprang to mind was Enter the Void.

You may have already seen Uncut Gems, but if not, I found that extremely nerve-wracking.

Hope things get better soon, and that you find a therapist that you work well with. It can make all the difference in the world.
