The Cat in the Hat (1971) - 8/7/12 - Blu-ray Forum

I don't think there was a thread created for this release yet, so I thought I would do it since I am looking forward to seeing this TV special on Blu-ray.

Does anyone know if the bonus specials included, The Hoober-Bloob Highway and Daisy-Head Mayzie will be in HD? With the past Dr. Seuss releases by Warner Bros., the bonus features have been in SD, unfortunately. It would be great to get these additional specials in HD since I doubt they will get their own dedicated releases.

I'm sorry. I've been at my sister's for the summer, and my nephew watches the show everyday. Got the damn theme songs stuck in my head.

HAHA! I didn't read the thread title all the way and I was all excited about Cat On A Hot Tin Roof being released. Then I saw the pic in the first post and didn't think it looked like Elizabeth Taylor to me.

If anyone picked up a copy of this title, can you let me know if the bonus specials The Hoober-Bloob Highway and Daisy-Head Mayzie are in HD?

Daisy-Head Mayzie was previously included on the Horton Hears a Who! Blu-ray but it was in SD.

Nope. The bonus cartoons are in SD again unfortunately.

Thanks for confirming.

Makes me wonder if some of these lesser-known shorts will ever be in HD. I doubt they would do stand-alone releases for all of these.

Did they ever make a cartoon of The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, where he makes that pink snow all over the yard for the kids to ski on?
