Me too, the sad thing is while this film is getting a Blu-ray release soon it's going to part of a few packs with unrelated films.

By the way...eXistenZ must have been THE inspiration behind Inception.

I didn't like this movie when I saw it as a teenager, but I do want to see it again. Chances are that I'll like it better as an adult (especially since I've now seen some of the other really weird Cronenberg films).

I'll be waiting to see what reviews the Echo Bridge disc gets...

The sheer randomness and no genre relation whatsoever of the other movies it's included with in the upcoming release is extremely annoying.

First of all, there is no reason every Cronenberg shouldn't be on Blu-Ray!! He's certainly the greatest director from my country of Canada, and he's awesome.

As for these eXistenZ sets - yeah, it's weird. They should at least have all the movies in their own boxes within the overall box, so you can alphabeticize them on the shelf properly. Or sell the ones you don't want. I never understand why boxsets and double features do not operate like this. Especially when the films are not just unrelated, but COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNRELATED like in this case.

They sent me a review copy of this 6-film BD set and Echo Bridge has included a few new masters of the respective films in with older (and inferior) transfers. Unfortunately EXISTENZ is one of the latter. It's 5.1 Dolby Digital and looks like an older type of broadcast master with some DNR. Probably better than DVD, but not nearly as good as it could've been.

If you are wondering why I gave this film 4 out of 5 stars, that is since the film says it is full 1080p but only registers 1080i and only comes with a Dolby Digital 2.0 track. Now I am not even really complaining but the film does sound and look great on Blu-ray.

Echo Bridge is known for releasing Miramax’s films on Blu-ray, some in combo packs like this one and some solo. This is obviously not the best Blu-ray that I own but I was just happy enough to see “eXistenZ” get a semi-HD treatment. I also have to note that each film has zero special features. There is virtually no room anyway since all three films are crammed on to one Blu-ray 50GB disc. I hope that Echo Bridge is planning a solo release for “eXistenZ” in the near future and hoping they tack on some extras and fix the audio and video issues

Can't believe I missed the fact that this is out on Blu-ray finally! Albeit it deserves its own standalone release and 1080p / 5.1 specs. Never seen this on any shelf.

I watched it once, and I couldn't make heads or tails of it. eXistenz is a weird movie, and as a matter of fact, too weird for my taste.

Well, it's gonna be released by Echo Bridge Entertainment so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
