Default Night Watch Subtitles

I saw Night Watch in the theatre and thought it was a great movie. One of the more memorable things about it were the subtitles. I was very disappointed to read in the review that the subtitles from the theatre are not included in the Bluray release. It's possible that I may not buy this one for that reason. So much time and effort was obviously put into the subtitles for the theatrical release it's shame that they were not included on the blu.

I agree wholeheartedly. If this review is to be taken for its word, it's a damn shame that the subtitles were scrapped for this release

I originally saw the film on DVD and was enthralled by the amazing subtitle work on the Russian-audio side of the dual-sided disc. The level of detail that went into the presentation of the subtitles was so impressive that I, too, feel like the omission is enough to keep me from purchasing this Blu-ray.

Pretty crazy to say that the subtitles alone would make me seek out an otherwise inferior format, but they're that integral to my preferred experience of this film.

If you've never seen them, consider seeking them out. Whoever originally oversaw their presentation - from their shifting colors to their interaction with onscreen elements - definitely created something unique to this film.

I was annoyed with the subtitles. I am happy that they didn't do that with the Day Watch DVD and Blu-ray. It's like; "Oh, now look up. Now look all the way to the left and watch them float up and fade. And then look down where you should look."
