The World's Fastest Indian - Canadian aspect ratio?

Hi all,

Someone told me the other day that the Canadian DVD release of "The World's Fastest Indian" (released by 'Alliance') was in the original aspect ratio of 2.35:1 (instead of the 1.78:1 aspect ratio, which most DVDs, and the USA Blu-Ray got because it was the director's preferred version).

Is this true? And if so, is the Canadian Blu-Ray also 2.35:1?

I already own the USA Blu-Ray, but if there is a Blu-Ray or DVD with the original aspect ratio I'd be very interested in seeing it.
