I know that "The Birds" is one of the 13 titles being fully restored by Universal. It will be interesting to see the end results because every version I've ever seen (super 8, vhs, ced, laser disc, dvd) has had alot of damage in the scene where Melanie enters the upstairs bedroom and gets attacked by the birds. Many, many projector scratches. I also wonder if this will be sold as a single title? I already have "Psycho" and I really just want "The Birds" and not the entire collection . . I know! Anyway, I went to the site where they are showing "The Birds" for one night only and there is a short trailer and, yes, it does look great. This is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see it the best it's ever looked!
