How does Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio look on DVD?

I realize this is a blu ray forum but since I was late to getting a blu ray player and buying them there are a few Disney movies I want that are oop. How does Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio look on DVD? I might be able to get these on dvd but wasn't sure how the picture quality on DVD looks? Thanks.

The BDs look much better than their respective DVDs as you would expect.

The most recent Pinocchio DVD looks fine, I dunno about the original Gold Collection one. I got the newer one as a gift and never bothered upgrading it. Maybe I'll get the upcoming release but it's not a priority.

Disney animation dvds arguably look pretty solid for the most part. I lucked out and found several Platinum and older editions for a couple of dollars each that are still perfectly presentable and are good enough placekeepers until the vaulted titles get a re-release or I find the old blus used for a nice price. Another thing I've noticed is some of the older Disney dvds have extras that were not ported over to blu and so they may be worth keeping either way.

Like already mentioned, just buy the region free releases from Amazon UK
