Angels of Evil Blu-ray Review

Michele Placido's Vallanzasca - Gli Angeli Del Male a.k.a Angels of Evil (2010) has received a preliminary release date: October 3. Starring Kim Rossi Stuart, Moritz Bleibtreu, Paz Vega, Filippo Timi. Screened at the Venice Film Festival last year. Courtesy of 20 Century Fox-Italia.

Italo criminal Renato Vallanzasca is described as having "more balls than brains" in Michele Placido's biopic, "Vallanzasca -- Angels of Evil," but the pic itself is ironically deficient in both directorial daring and insight. A steely, tightly wound Kim Rossi Stuart is largely wasted in the title role, as his character is stuck in a screenplay of the and-then-this-happened variety, credited to a staggering eight collaborators (and based on two tomes co-written by Vallanzasca himself). Though pic has presold to several Euro territories, B.O. won't be heavenly beyond home turf, where it goes out Dec. 17.

I really enjoyed this. The Italian release has English subs for those who can't wait until October.

Cool! Wanted to see this for ages and was tempted to buy the Italian release, but I'll wait for this now. Artificial Eye releases are always good.

Yeah, I decided to wait for the AE release as well, and we are getting close now! Only a couple more weeks...

Looks like it got pushed back a few weeks.

Release is now listed as 10/24/11.

I am a sucker for Gangster movies. I still have to see a lot of them. I am ordering 'Mesrine' so I was thinking that should I order this movie too? I mean is it only good or is it awesome.
