Yeah, I'm pretty sure Scream is still cut over here. For what, I'm not sure.

Pretty sure both versions are cut, craven intended scream to have a scene involving a hanging corpse from the football goal on the field but had to cut it out.

But the US is 111 min and its the theatrical cut and its not cut of what i heard. The UK is 109 min. Did they really cut 2 min out of the UK release

UK releases are always listed as slightly shorter due to PAL speed up. UK discs run faster, that's all. I would say they're both the same cut.

PAL Speed Up doesn't affect High-Def Media. Or at least not High-Def Media that's encoded in 1080/24p.

True, but it doesn't stop companies and sites using the incorrect PAL running time.

Scream was never cut in the UK, kids. It's the same cut as the US disc, I.E: The R-Rated theatrical version.

The PAL running time is 106m 21s, which is 111 minutes plus a few seconds if you do the math. Not sure what the 109 minutes on the back of the UK box is.

True - both the US and UK versions are the same. I have the 'Directors Cut' on Laserdisc and that only adds a matter of seconds anyway... Pretty certain you can't find that on Blu yet.

Any chance of a better transfer from a different region?

Also if you look at the BBFC official times you still see the difference as the 'video' version (for DVD or BD release) is given to them and listed with PAL speedup even if, when it's put onto BD, that won't be present.

Also (as has been said) Scream is uncut in the UK... the runtime on the box is incorrect and the true time is 1:50:56 (111 mins) as verified by someone I know with the disc.

Thanks for the Info. Though i got the us set just thought it was weird with the running time difference and it could not be pal speed up because then it would list 107 min. So it looks like it would just sloppy done by those that made the cover. What they got 109 min from beats me since like you say its 111 min like US version
