Default O Lucky Man! (1973) 4K??

I was expecting Warner to put out a 50th anniversary of this last year, but nothing.

Is there any word of this getting a release anytime soon?

Would be nice for it to get the deluxe treatment it deserves plus the soundtrack which is just as amazing as the film.

I petitioned for this to get a DVD release in 2004, thankfully in 2007 it did get a release.

Now it deserves more!

I hate to echo the usual answer, but I've read that Criterion have it, & if that's the case, god only knows when we'll get it. I viewed If.... the other month, & it would have been lovely to follow it with Lucky Man.

Criterion almost certainly has it.

Thank you very kindly for the replies.

I suppose in one way Criterion having it is a good thing. When and if it gets a release is another story.

I would love to see VS put it out on their Cinematographe sub label and give it a premium physical media release.

We only had one cut of it here in Australia (in the 80s) and it’s missing around 40 minutes for some reason (I can only assume for pacing purposes) and it is very hard to find.

Such an underrated gem and in my opinion the best of the Anderson trio

I was lucky enough to catch the 4K restoration on the big screen in November 2019 at the annual British Film Festival.

Looks fantastic. I'm getting sick of waiting for it's long overdue Blu Ray release. My Warners DVD stopped working years ago.

There is a 1080p web version but it's full of compression artifacts it badly needs a 100gig 4k

I hope the holdup is Criterion trying to do a UHD set of the trilogy, but having three separate licensors makes it more difficult (this from WB, If.... from Paramount, and Britannia Hospital from StudioCanal.)
