Question X-Men 'Enhanced Viewing Mode'

I'm interested in buying the first X-Men movie. I heard that there was an extended version of the film that existed as 'Enhanced Viewing Mode'.

The more I research it, the less appealing it seems. I read all of this:
- The aspect ratios of the deleted scenes differ from the core film.
- A distracting 'ø' symbol is present during the deleted scenes taking you to behind-the-scenes stuff.
- Featurettes also are shoved in with the deleted scenes.

This all seemed rather odd for a simple extended edition. More mind-boggling is that some sources claim ten minutes are added in, while other claim it's a whole freaking hour.

Can anyone who owns the film clarify all this for me? Also, is there a specific version of the film I have to buy for Enhanced Viewing Mode?

Thanks.

It really isn't an extended version. It's just a way to try and put in the deleted scenes in context to where they would have played in the film.

Can you elaborate? Are you saying that it stops playing the movie, switches over to the deleted scene file, plays that, and continues playing the movie?

The magic of seamless branching! I think the DVD did this too.
