Anyone else checking this out? Tonight was episode three of season two and I gotta say that these people have got to be THE nuttiest out of all the manly dangerous job-type shows. If they're not, they're tied for first place with the Axe Men!

I can't stop watching it, even if they never seem to really get any gold. I mean, the episodes in and one boat hasn't even gotten into the water yet! Another has under $2K!

There is just always something either stopping these people from working...and then when they do work, there just isn't all that much gold to be found. Which is odd, because this show somewhat out produces the other big gold mining show, Gold Rush.

The default main guy, Scott Meisterheim just fascinates me. He is a total hot head, yet I feel that he is so upfront and real...don't know why, and the dude likely had a terrible upbringing, but I feel for the guy. lol

I also can't help but find Emily Riedel hot. She certainly isn't a traditional beauty, but it works for me no matter how whiny and a tad crazy like her father she is.

I'm hoping to find out more about he old lady who purchased a ton of parcels and the faction she works with. They seem to want to bully out the smaller dredges, especially after falsely accusing The Edge of being on their claim and stealing their gold.

So much drama!

I don't enjoy it as much as I do Gold Rush but its on my Friday night must watch list!

I also agree on Emily even though I think her dad is a complete wackjob!

Like most of these types of shows it was better before they started adding more ridiculous drama to it. There is no way that Hurricane Dave was real. Who in their right mind (not that most of these guys are in their right mind to begin with) would let a guy that wound up on a boat like that?

The same goes for the claim jumping issue with the Edge. The whole thing seemed totally manufactured.
