Is it just me or does this look better than almost every other BD? :O Am I over-reaching or do you guys feel the same way?

Not from those screenshots, some of them have noticeable compression artefacts. Well I'm assuming the actual BD image won't have them. DoP Roger Deakins and Editor Stuart Baird are veterans and they've done a fantastic job for this film. I especially love that the editing is tense but never devolves into irritating rapid cuts. It's a very good looking film to be sure (though so incredibly stupid I'm never going to watch it again) and it will make for a smashing blu-ray technically.

But I'm not sure this is leaps ahead of, say Se7en or Tree of Life in terms of image quality.
