Much acclaimed Iranian film is now up for pre-order on Amazon:

Hope this is region free though being a Sony Pictures Classics release I'm not really holding my breath.

Wow! Looks like the US release will include some exclusive extras, including a commentary from the director!

Tech specs for the release include full 1080p Hi-Def video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 3.0 Master Audio sound in both PERSIAN/FARSI & FRENCH (PARISIAN) languages (with English subtitles). The title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $25.19 price tag. The bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

I don't know about a blu-ray edition, but the UK has had this on DVD since last Fall.

Also one of the very few films where I simultaneously hate and feel for each and every main character.

The UK has had this on blu-ray since then as well.

Well the UK release was pretty slim on extras. It also missed out on the commentary track.

I'm dying to own this film, but I've been holding off buying the UK Blu-ray as I wanted to see what Columbia's Blu-ray will offer...now I'm glad I waited.

I've hear nothing but good things about this, and while it's not normally the kind of film I would seek out I think it's hitting 'the list'.

One of my absolute favourites. No other movie that I could remember has depicted messiness of life so brilliantly.

Haven't noticed it for foreign films...just seemed odd to me... Either way, still looking forward to putting the US version next to my UK version.

No, I would never really trust amazon about region coding. I'd wait for a more reliable source...
