no it never got a Blu release in OZ/NZ

I hope they also release them separately as '86 is the only one I have any interest in. I tried to order the UK BD from WowHD but they dicked around for so long I ended up cancelling the order... I may just order it direct from Amazon UK if the Aussie version is only available in this set.

I guess no-one will know for sure until it's available, but it's listed as the "20th Anniversary", which is the release we've already seen -- and I'm betting it's the exact same disc master, since it's got all the same inclusions.

For me, it's a dilemma whether to buy this or not. I have both versions of The Fly in their UK releases, and then The Fly and Return of the Fly in the Vincent Price sets from Scream ... how many more copies do I want of the same movies?! (Shades of Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein, in all the Universal Monsters Legacy sets ...)

So it's down to whether I want to buy it just for The Curse of the Fly and The Fly II, neither of which I've ever seen and neither of which (I'm guessing) is likely to get a stand-alone release. Hmmm ... a bit cheaper, and I might jump, but as it is, I'm not so sure.

It won't be a new new transfer. It hasn't had one anywhere else, so I don't see how Australia would get one. We'll be getting the same one available in the UK and US, which is better than nothing given it hasn't had a BD release here before. I have the UK one, which is at least better than the DVD.
