wow, this just came out from Universum. This film is only available on dvd in the US as an exclusive from TCM.com.
anybody happen to get this one?

I bought this Saturday.
Feature: English audio only with optional German subtitles.
Region B locked according to my switchable Oppo player.
Extras: Trailer for this movie and trailers for other movies. They are all in PAL resolution (576i / 25 fps / 4:3 or 16:9).

The image qualtity diminishes in the second half of the movie. At about 1:10 to 1:20 [h:m] and other small ranges there are some static scratches or spots (See images 9,10 and 13). The sceenshots are generated with the VLC media player.

thanks so much for the info!

at least it is 1080p so that's good news for people with region free players.
I'm not sure if I would get it just because I haven't always enjoyed comedies from the 10940's,
(often they haven't aged as well as the other genres like film noir or dramas)
but the PQ looks pretty good imo just from the screenshots.
hmmmm..............hopefully it will go down some over the next year.

(I just hate knowing there is a bd of a film from the 1940's that I don't have)
