I'm gonna go with The Next Karate Kid. It at least brought back the good natured tone, and something to invest in for the characters.

Part III felt the most unnecessary of the 4 movies, where Daniel becomes unlikable, and the goal is merely to defend a title as opposed to defending one's life or honor like the first two, the villains are a couple of cartoon heavies you'd find in a Bond movie, and Ralph's performance was obnoxious like he was snorting coke before every take... Like damn dude, calm your tits before I have to tranq your overacting ass! The worst offense is the handling of Daniel's character though. It was like he abandoned everything he learned and experienced in the first two, turned against his mentor, all for a title defense which was never the point of Karate kid.

Edit: and just realized I hit part 3 in the vote. Fml
