Any time they announce a film that empties a spot on my DVD shelf, I'm happy by it.

I just remember how bad Tommy lee Jones' Irish accent was. It was a good action film nonetheless, will definitely pick it up.

See the funny thing is, as an American, I didn't even think anything of it and just assumed he did a good job. I'm sure being from Ireland, it's WAY more obvious as to how inaccurate it probably is.

Either way, SO F'N EXCITED for this!

It's a bizarre sort of Guatemalan-gibberish concoction. If the film were better known it would take some of the heat off Dick Van Dyke's infamous cockney accent in Mary Poppins.

Don't know about that, I cringe just thinking of him in Mary Poppins! Movie is completely unwatchable for me.

Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, U2 music. What's not to like. Day one.

To me it sounded as if Tommy Lee Jones tried to pull the stereotypical Leprechaun accent, I just find it funny to watch.

It really did sound strange at the time to me, there is a few accents thrown in there that come and go throughout the film.

I've never like when American actors or actresses, imitate foreign accents in movies! I prefer an actor, who is a native from that particular country, to play the role. It's more authentic, and convincing!

Get ready for a ride. In a Jeep, while wearing headphones.

This is one of my guilty pleasures. In. On day 1.

I like the flick enough to upgrade it despite Jones' butchering of the accent. They should have found a way to write into the story that he'd developed an American accent while in American jail or something like that.

I thought DiCaprio did a pretty good job with the South African accent in Blood Diamond, it's a hard one to get right. If you're going to do it they should have a linguist paid to develop it. Particularly bad phrasings worked on, etc., until it's passable.

I hope this gets a 5.1 soundtrack and not 2.0 or mono treatment. I remember the dvd sounding good in the past.
