Rob Zombies Halloween Theatrical Version

Can you get this version on a Region B blu-ray?

I know there's a RZ Halloween on Amazon Germany, but it doesn't state which edition it is.

Does anyone know about that perticular edition? Is it the Theatrical edition?

Yeh!! I'm the same. I thought I was the only one. From what I've found out, alot of people seem to prefer the film with that in it

Apart from anything, I didn't think it was really that necessary. IMHO I thought the theatrical version was better. But that's just me.

I agree. Slaughtering all those cops seems to fit more. Plus Bill Mosley is in that scene!!! I bet when H2 comes out there will be a re-release. I was reading on Rob Zombie's twiitter yesterday that H2 is currently at a running time of 4 hours and he's heavily editing!!!

That would be awesome if he does a directors cut and puts it all back in.

I also dont like the rape scene and wish it was in the deleted scenes part of the DVD or some seamless branching. I prefer the fight and cop slaughter during his transfer as better and more like the original. We always knew he escaped, just never saw what happened on the inside- Loomis pulls up and they are already free wandering around. Thought that added to it by showing other perspectives or things that were going that were assumed.

I thought the other add ins were ok. And, I still dont really see the difference in the endings that you can see.

I also am concerned about the whole Devil worshipping / ghost mother crap.
And, how the trailer states he is 'concluding his vision'. Sounds like he cooked up a myth about why Michael is f-ed up and is bringing it to an end.

I believe the Japanese release is also the theatrical cut.

HOLY THREAD REVIVAL!

But yeah, this is the singular reason I don't own the Director's Cut of this film. I do not want that version. That rape scene was very uncomfortable to see once, let alone ever again.

Maybe one day, it will come out on Blu-ray. I'll hold out on hope.

I too prefer the theatrical cut for that reason as well. That scene was not needed and disturbing. Michael's escape in the theatrical cut showed how dangerous he truly was.
