IMO, the products offered by ChaseHT were/are solid performers as well as good value for the money, and owners - including me - have generally had nothing but good things to say about them.

In light of fairly recent announcements regarding upcoming new products (speakers, subs, amps), I can't say that I fully understand why ChaseHT is shutting down; nevertheless, I do think it's a shame that it is shutting down.

Wow, there was a time when I almost purchased subs from him. Thank god I didn't and waited to see what PowerSound Audio had to offer. Almost sounds like he was looking for an excuse to get out. Sounds a bit radical no?

Wow that is sad. I was interested in their 18.1 sub. According to a post on page 4, the company is being audited by the IRS. It does seem strange that he is paying for a lawyer if he is innocent as he says. My parent's business was audited before. Just sent the supporting documentation, and it was fixed. It is when you get "creative" that gets you into trouble.

Just read the whole thread. Sad day, but glad I never bought a Chase product.
I am sure Craig is not the only one that is worried, I wish the best for small companies to fight and stand up and fight whats right.

Craig insists on running his forum as a bully pulpit, expounding his whacky political ideas while deleting any posts that contradict his far right mindset. Given the mediocre (at best) product history of CHT I don't think the audio world will be missing much by his bizarre decision. Goodbye and good luck....
