Future Shop trade ins - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know how Future shop trade ins work. Does the dvd you trade in have to be from a certain year or can it be any random dvd. I ask this because the customer service person at my Local future shop didn't know. Thanks.

As I recall the rules, it's basically any commercial DVD...except "adult" (porn). It can't be a burned-at-home DVD. I've done about a half dozen of those trade-in deals and I'm not aware that there was any other restriction on the DVD you could trade-in.

The trade and save promotion ended on November 1.

I went and bought some of them ZELLERS $1.00 DVDs; I took off the wrappers and then went there and figured out the moives I wanted. Customer Service had no problem exchanging them fotr the Trade n' Save.

They will also trade any season or box set(only counts as one however) and they will also do blu rays, example- I have traded my blu ray of Thor and a few others to upgrade to the 3d version instead of just the blu ray. Get $10 off the 3d discs is amazing here in Canada!!

And because I know the DVDs are put in a recycling bin, I have no shame to give a movie on DVD without the bonus disc (I keep it with the Blu-ray edition when the special features are not all ported over) and they don't know/care at all. I usualy keep the 2-Disc case too and I replace the one I give by a single disc case, with the cover and the movie on DVD.
