I've recently had an itch to upgrade to a projection system for my home theater room. I've done a little bit of research and looked at the projectorcentral.com website and experimented with their projection calculator. Based on the calculations, if I can only have a throw distance of about 10' give or take (I would ceiling mount the projector), the image size of a 16:9 screen will range from 75" to 85" depending on the projector.
I currently have a 60" Sony SXRD , but I like the idea of recreating a movie theater environment with the projector and, of course, having a bigger screen. But if it's only going up to 85", I'm not sure it's worth the upgrade. Any opinions, suggestions? |
