After 20 years or so Here comes a Gem. I saw this movie tonight and what a masterpiece. This is an example why Maniratnam is an Ace Director in india. Three people Delivered the Winning formula.
1) Maniratnam (Director)
2) A.R.Rahman (Music & Background)
3)Rajiv Menon (Cinematography)
I highly doubt anyone will release this on Bluray but this is a winner

Film was a dud. Nice visuals, score and production values...but boring story.
Only scenes with Arvind Swamy and Arjun were good.
New Actor and Actress lacked charm and acting skills.

Hey Guys, It is the hero & Heroine's first movie. I think Mani has done a great job on teaching them.

...and that's the problem...
Any actors (new or established) should be good right from the go.

I sense both the young actors had no, or misguided training.

They might get better after a few movies but sadly, it will be at our expense...

I can't see this film getting blu-ray release. Rights are owned by Gemini.
Expect a crappy DVD version from Moser Bear.

Gemini and moserbaer have tied up for the dvds which have both watermarks.

i guess seyons is distributing this film in UK which also has an history of late releases.

well said bro !! they are making tamil movies crappy ... this leads to poor quality DVD's from moserbaer ... low price movie DVD's @ VCD quality i donno when this peopls will learn about quality and HD ...

The first half was great, but I think it took a big dump after intermission. The cinematography and music were fantastic, but they, too, were really bad after intermission. It's half of a good movie

Ah those Maniratnam fanboyz! The movie's nothing, if you haven't watched it, don't bother watching it.

It is so funny, when people get excited and give rave reviews to movies like "Dabbang" ,Thuppaki, Mankatha, etc. But forget to appreciate movies like "Kadal".
