Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help, Just found out that this had been released via Umbrella back in June. Does this feature the same transfer as the Criterion release?? Does it have the Criterion logo at the start? Specs on this site state it as a BD25, Is this correct? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Specs are correct.
It's a BD-25 (23,547,065,455 bytes) Unfortunately audio is only lossy Dolby Digital, despite there being a DTS HD-MA logo on the slick and disc art. I've confirmed with Umbrella directly that unfortunately the error is with the art and not the disc and there will not be a re-release with lossless audio. On the plus side it does feature the same Criterion transfer and looks wonderful. I suppose it depends on what your priorities are with regards to the film. Get it for $10 through JB or pay double for the Criterion.... |

Absolutely. Although the audio is the low point, the picture quality is very strong and although I obviously want the best possible picture and audio quality if I was to choose between the two picture quality will be the deciding factor. In this case having seen the French screencaps I can definitely say our release is superior in that department.
