Default Mr. Jones (2013) 5/6/14

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Mr-Jones-Blu-ray/96876/

Anyone bother picking this up this week? I checked it out based on a review on Horror-movies.ca. The reviewer rated it rather mediocre stating that he found the first hour incredibly boring but that the pay off at the end was well worth it.

I actually am completely opposite, I loved the first hours build up, it reminded me very much of The Blair Witch Project, but done better. Then when the film finally flips on it's head, I was quite disappointed and turned off with the direction the film went and it's predictable ending. Anyone that's played the Xbox 360 Game "Alan Wake" will likely appreciate whats going on however, as it's probably the closest adaptation of that game we'll ever see in movie form.

Worth checking out for Horror fans, but not something I'll have any real desire to re-visit with any regularity.

I agree with you. First hour was great, then it got strange. I understood what it was going for, but I enjoyed the first hour much more. Good watch though.
