Default The legend Of ZORRO on BD PQ AND SQ 5/5

link:

http://www.hometheaterspot.com/fusio...hp?tid/139740/

Video:

"But with BD we can finally appreciate the photography to its fullest, limitations of scaling and compression seemingly no longer apply.

Image clarity and resolution are excellent in both darkness and light. Despite being shot in 35mm, there’s surprisingly little influence of emulsion in the nighttime sequences – possibly manipulated in post correction of the digital intermediate. But, there’s always plenty of fine detail. And shadow delineation remains excellent throughout. A high bit budget prevents artificial noise from compression from ever being a factor as well. "

Audio

"his lossless encoding easily tops both. There’s much more articulate detail than just about anything you’ll hear on DVD. Surrounds are used generously with lots of spacious imaging and detailed flamboyance in the big effects sequences. It’s really like a whole new experience compared to DVD in sound too.

Enjoy it...

Not a good enough movie to matter.

i bought it last night at frys since they have it there for 9.99 and also got Black Hawk Down. The PQ on Zorro is just simply stunning. Also when i went to Frys i seriously saw about 15-20 people buying Blu's since they have the BOGO going on and the HD-DEAD section was empty.

I say this one was terrible only because of what it had to live up to in the first movie. The Mask of Zorro was the first DVD I ever bought. Along with the Matrix, True Lies, and Wild Wild West.

Not well in my opinion. The first I thought an excellent swashbuckler...this one a silly family adventure. It falls prey to many of my pet peeves, including the annoying kid.

I like the first one a little better but they still had great chemistry in this one so it was enjoyable.

Boring movie. Would be nice if Sony releases Mask of Zorro and does a BOGO.

It doesn't.

Best to forget it ever existed, in my opinion...one of those sequels that tarnishes the original.

If it weren't such a beautiful movie it'd pretty much be a complete write-off. I'll probabl pick it up though as it's a modestly enjoyable romp though not in the same league as the first one.

Great, now how about giving us the movie people will actually buy, The Mask of Zorro. Hopefully it will get the same great treatment that this travesty did.

I just rented it and the PQ and AQ is incredible. I have watched over 75 Blu-rays at this point, and this one is truly the best in terms of picture and sound. While the movie itself is not nearly as good as The Mask of Zorro, The Legend of Zorro is worth renting just for the PQ/AQ.

Hopefully The Mask of Zorro will be just as good on Blu when they finally release it.

Yes, I could've done with a bit less of the kid, but the folks who dismiss this as being a poor follow-up to the first film are way off base (in my not-so-humble opinion). The sparks between Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were even hotter than the last time out. The stunts, the PQ & the AQ were first rate - and I'm always a sucker for a good relationship between a man and his horse. Zorro's horse, Toronado, is a big part of this movie [(mostly) "played" by a Friesian stallion named Ariaan (who was occasionally replaced by a Friesian gelding named Tonka)]. Really glad I didn't listen to the naysayers & picked this up - a classic, no, but a fun ride!
