Australia Universal 100 Collection

Hi, y'all!

While in JB today picking up E.T. and Spider-Man I noticed that they had a Blu-ray version of King Kong in the Universal 100 packaging - like Jaws and E.T. - in the digibook. Does anyone know of any other Australian releases in the Universal 100??

I'd be interested too — I was gearing up to buy it from the UK.

I wonder if they'll be getting the Gladiator digibook as well?

Was it the remake or the 1933 version?

I've seen the remake of King Kong at my local Wal-mart with the Universal 100the slipcover so I'd bet this digibook is the same version. The original, I believe, was released thru Warner.

Remake. (Second remake, if we want to be picky, I guess.) Isn't the 1933 version owned by Warner Bros?

It is, but it wasn't released here.

Yes, it was there today. $23.99 if I remember correctly. There were a bunch of other titles too (Spartacus?).

Thanks A, yeah, I spoke to my local JB just now, they've got King Kong, Gladiator, Spartacus, Atonement and Mamma Mia, just in.

They're £12.59 on Amazon UK, due out in about three weeks, so I guess $23.99 isn't too much more expensive when you remove VAT but add shipping.

Now I just have to decide whether to buy the E.T. digibook, or keep the UK steelbook. Any thoughts, anyone?

Personally I think the E.T steel is a bit
