Not only is he returning, he is bringing his wife, and star of the franchise, Milla Jovovich back for one more round as Alice. Sienna Guillory was supposed to come back as Jill Valentine, but word on the street is that she may be recast for this proposed prequel.

Casting is currently under way for the characters Barry Burton, a member of S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Service), and Leon Scott Kennedy, a U.S. Government agent.

Paul W.S. Anderson is hoping to shoot Resident Evil: Retribution as early as this October, with plans to get it into theaters by September 14th of 2012.

I like the other ones well enough, I suppose, even if they don't really blow my mind. So, hey, why not? I'm game for a 5th one (no pun intended).

I had planned on holding out for them to finish the series and release a box set but the steelbooks were too beautiful to pass up. Hopefully they'll release a SB for the fifth one too!

Afterlife was my favorite so far. If they go 3D again, I'll surely be at the theater opening day.

I agree with U. I hated that in RE4. They messed up the movie.

WOW, that was fast considering the 4th installment was release in theater not too long ago. I hope they don't do a rush half-ass job on getting the movie out just to milk our pockets of money.

They've turned into decent b-movie action horror schlock. No-one would ever confuse them with being good movies in the traditional sense, but they are fun for what they are.
