India/Bollywood BDs you haven't watched even once

A quote by Ravenus mockingly saying "Are you guys so busy buying BDs that you don't have any time to watch them?" got me thinking. I went through my collection and realised that I have around 35 movies that I haven't watched even once (on any format/theater let alone BD! ).

There is so much backlog with new BDs coming in every month ! Am I the only one with this problem?

Some of these are so bad that looking back on it, I'm wondering why I bought them in the first place while some of them are regarded as being so good that I can't believe I haven't watched them yet!

My list (I bought some of these 3 years ago!!) :

I've also got some unwatched blu-ray's in my collection.

From the top of my head :
- Blade Runner
- Reservoir Dogs
- Kingdom of Heaven (dir. cut)
- Full Metal Jacket
- American Graffiti
- Dune
- King Kong (Peter Jackson)
- Bound
- Alexander Revisited (final cut)
- Watchmen (dir. cut)
- 300

These are all movies I've previously owned (and watched) on dvd.
In the beginning of my blu-ray collecting days I might have focussed too much on upgrading my dvd-collection to blu-ray.

These unwatched blu-ray's now serve as a reminder to me to only order those discs I really have an urge to pop into my player.

I've skipped buying some blu-ray re-issues since then. (Star Wars; Indy; Bond 50...)

(With Indian films I don't have this issue, since I only discovered Indian cinema after making the switch to blu.)

Srinivas there are quite a few good movies you hav'nt watched from your own collection

I'll recommend to watch them in this order

1-HUGO <-----------------------Highly Recommended! (Great A/V As Well)
2-MIB-3 <-----------------------I enjoyed it a lot! (Great A/V As Well)
3-The Adjustment Bureau <------I Found it very Interesting!
4-Total Recall <-----------------Throughly Enjoyable Movie ! (Awesome AQ!)
5-Dark Shadows <---------------A very Decent Watch! (Awesome AQ!)

@Srini: Y'know you could have spent the time you took posting thumbnails of all the movies you haven't seen actually...watching some of them

I have actually been putting Hugo as I find the premise a bit depressing. Watched the first 30mins of Total Recall today. Loved it! Great AQ like you said and the plot is interesting too (more faithful to the book than I expected). I've decided not to wait till the weekend to watch a movie. I get around 20 to 30 mins of free time during weekdays and I'm gonna watch movies in parts/intervals from now on .

I know, whatever free time I get is spent on this forum . Last saturday I had around 1 and a half hour of free time. I spent 45mins deciding what to watch and finally locked in on The Bourne Legacy. I had 45 mins of free time left and saw that the movie's runtime is 2hrs 15min. I ended up putting it back and thought I would just log in here. Finally spent my evening watching trailers and browsing this forum. And this is why I have this backlog.

Ok, this thread title is making me feel bad - I got several that I havent even opened yet - I attribute that to "collector's itch" and explain it as a post-retirement plan

I don't believe it's a bad thing, it's kind of like having your own movie library so one day if you just feel like watching a movie you havent seen before its right there at your fingertips, at least I feel that way.

Imagine watching the movies you bought as soon as you bought them there wouldnt be any surprises to discover in your collection or on a rainy/free day there wont be a choice of movie that ''you havent seen before'' if that makes sense

I believe in at least opening the packages and trying them out to ensure that there aren't any major faults like missing disc or complete disc failure or something like that. That said there are some unwatched discs in my collection, mostly of movies I'm not hugely fond of but got because of favorable price or when I buy a multi-disc collection and I haven't watched ALL the discs in it. So ya, I haven't seen some of discs of the Superman, Alien, Godfather, David Lean directs Noel Coward, Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner, Jurassic Park and Looney Tunes sets.

I have stopped buying BDs for the same reason we are discussing here. My rental subscription (6 DVD/BD anytime unlimited/month) can be blamed partly as I always find myself with rental BD(s) at home.

I tend to watch at least one film / day (2-3 a day on weekends when it is a bad day outside).

Updated the original post to reflect the latest situation. An easier way to monitor the stuff I haven't watched making it easier for me to pick a movie.
