"Where's Transformers on Blu-ray?" B&M observations

So I was off of work today and went to Walmart. To my pleasant surprise they had put a nice Blu Ray display up. But just like Target they had HD-DVD displayed as well. The good thing was there where 5 rows of Blu and only 3 of HD.

While I was looking at the display a woman with her 6 year old daughter asked the salesman "wheres Transformers on Blu-Ray?" The salesman not knowing the answer went looking for the movie.

I turned and explained to the woman that it wasnt released on Blu ray and her response was "You mean not yet? Everything is on Blu Ray.. isn't it?" and when explained how Paramount accepted the 150 mil bride.. She was obviously upset and ended up buying transformers on standard dvd.

Later on I went to Target in my area and there was a guy in his twentys asking the salesman there, where he could get Transformers in Blu Ray? The salesman not knowing the answer either (just like the guy at walmart) went looking at the Blu Ray display.

The sooner this war is over and HD gives up the better. These are people who are like MOST shoppers are unaware of the format war and just want their favorite movies on the best format possible.

PS I did see someone buy Transformers on HD while I was at target, prompting me to buy 2 blu rays. The Reaping and Reign over me.
