I just bought the Nvidia 8800GTS, which allowed for HDMI/HDCP connectivity to my samsung 1080P DLP. Picture quality is significantly better than the VGA connection i previously had, but the problem is that the Desktop is too big and doesn't fit within the TV screen. I can't see the Start/task on windows nor can i see the tool bar on PowerDVD at the bottom of the screen. I have tried to adjust the screen area using the NVIDIA utility HDTV "fitter" and hit the "apply" button, but no change! Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have a HTPC 8800GTS 640MB through DVI/HDMI adapter PowerDVD 7.3 Blu-ray/HD-DVD version Deluxe 4 GB of Ram AMD X2 3800 processor X-Fi Fatality Soundcard Samsung 50" DLP/HDMI |

You gotta go into the the menu settings and set it pixel for pixel. Call up Samsung for help I had to call up sharp and sony to get my other TV's working right.

Hello, try downloading the CATALYST CONTROL CENTER (CCC) FROM ATI. then run the setup wizard. You also have to set the HDTV settings to force a 1080P resolution or 720P resolution. The settings may say 1920x1080 or so on, but you have to actually add those settings as a progressive setting in the advanced settings for HDTV in the CCC Mine did the same and what I did worked but didnt make any sense to as why it worked. Also you may want to try changing the DPI SETTINGS in the display proerties under settings and then advanced. RIGHT CLICK ON THE DESKTOP THEN PROPERTIES THEN SETTINGS TAB THEN ADVANCED SETTINGS AND LOWER THE DPI PERCENTAGE. I hope one of theworks for you,

I Promise you that it is not your PC but your TV. You gotta mess around with your TV Settings. I've done this nearly 3 times now. Either read your Manual or ask Samsung. You've got to setup your resolution somehow or play with the settings.

I have searched the net and found a page that should provide either the software or driver(s) that may be needed to calibrate the screen properly. I hope this is more helpful.

I have had problems with NVIDIA's N-view software and have turned it of (in the control panel) to fix many issues.
