I will do that. After it is done, please make a post with pictures, comments, and reviews.

I may have seen somebody else with Focal speakers, but I don't remember who it was.

Default Focal Chorus 705V, 706V

Has anyone heard these? What did you think? Thanks, Chuck.

I work at a dealer here in OKC and we have the focal chorus line. They are amazingly accurate! They handle female vocals like nothing I've ever heard. If you're a music fan, I say go for it. The 706's are beautiful.

I completely agree with this statement. Several years ago when I was auditioning speakers it came down to the Focal/JM Lab and Totem Acoustic, because of the way they both handled female voices. In the end I chose a pair of Totem Sttaf's, but not because they were necessarily better. It had more to do with aesthetics in the final analysis, because I really loved both of them equally.

When I was auditioning my system I heard both of these. The 706's are an outstanding speaker, but I went with the 705's because they are the surround rears in my system, and see fairly limited use. The 705's are still great speakers though.

Just switched my L/C/R to Focal 714v towers w/CC700 centre. Very impressed with these speakers. Changed out from NHT SB1 bookshelf fronts.

Rest of the gear is:

Denon 3310ci
Mirage S10 sub
Mirage OmniCan 6 Surrounds (ceiling mounted)
Panasonic PZ850u plasma
Panasonic BD-55
Bell 9242 HD-PVR

Humble, but loud and clear, lol.

nice upgrade to the focals! i cant believe more people dont have focals in their setup. very rare to see on here. i have the 716v's and the cc700 center. i auditioned every line of focal, paradigm, definitive, klipsch, and polk when i was looking and the focals just plain outclassed every one of them in their respected price ranges. they are excellent at music, something about them inverted tweeters just sounds superb in my opinion.

Thanks! I wasn't even aware of them before auditioning them, and I was impressed. They're clear without being strident.

Now, I'm thinking about doubling up my sub. Upgrade-itis...hope I never get cured

I know how that is...One step at a time.

If you are looking at subs in the near future, you might want to consider internet direct. Very good price to performance ratio. If I were you I would be looking at eD, SVS, HSU, Rythmik, AV123, and Epik. A lot of great stuff to be had there.
