Default Is Sony bluray's best studio?

Is Sony bluray's best studio? According to blu-ray.com's Looper review with regards to video quality and of most of Sony's releases from their studios (Columbia, Tristar, Screen Gems) it is. I've always read great reviews on here regarding Sony's releases. Warner Bros' titles tend to not fair so well and are hit and miss with regards to video quality.

Disney Pixar releases tend to also be excellent. But movies that are 100% computer graphics are probably easier to edit than real life film with regards to trying to nail the skin tones and clothes accurately with the right amount of film grade and not messing with edge enhacement.

Is Sony blu rays best studio? They release some excellent Blu's no doubt but I will say Disney's Pixar release's are very good as well as Universal Studio's.

Sony arguably produces the best transfers on the most consistent basis. From front-line titles like Taxi Driver to things they license out like The Odessa File their releases are top-notch. It would be nice if we could get more of them but that's another matter.

Warner sometimes gets an undeserved bad rap though. They made some questionable decisions early in the life of BD (particularly with regard to audio) but once the market settled itself and it became clear that consumers valued transfers that weren't overly processed their releases have been pretty good too. Most are actually very good.

I agree. Warner had some poor releases in the early days of BD but theirs are top notch now. Sony has always been good and the only major studio that I have issues with is Universal who still releases titles with DNR and/or old transfers.

Sony is probably Bluray's worst company if you are talking about quantity. They releases some great discs but that's because they don't release anything other then newer movies. Their catalog output is next to nothing, and what they do put out is from other companies such as Image, Twilight, ect. Sony loves to rush out new technology and then abandon it. They are already rushing out fake 4K discs, and then I'm sure they'll release actual 4K content but probably only for their newer titles.

I appreciate Sony more than the any other studio because they're one of the few studios who still have interior artwork for their releases, along with disc art. Warner on the other hand has gone to eco-cases, bland black discs & menus that look very generic.
