War movies during winter / christmas

I am probably 'different', but I like to watch war movies during the winter / christmas (peace on earth etc.

) time. Not all type of war movies, but classic World War 2 action movies. I don't know why, but it is a tradition or something. I've also noticed that some TV channels always broadcast World War 2 movies during this time of the year.

Some of those movies include:

- The Great Escape
- The Guns of Navarone
- Kelly's Heroes
- Battle of the Bulge
- Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence

And more, but I won't list them all.

Am I the only one?

If not: which war movies do you watch?

The theme of 'The Guns of Navarone' has something "Christmassy' xD
