Amazon Instant Video/Roku: $5 Amazon video promo credit offer 12/3/12-1/7/13

It looks like Amazon and Roku are offering a $5 Amazon promo credit for use on Amazon Instant Video purchases or rentals.

You just have to register your (previously unregistered) Roku device on Amazon between 12/3/12 and 1/7/13.

The promo credit expires on 3/31/13.

I signed up for this before I read the fine print and realized the promo credit was only for AIV purchases. I thought it was for any purchase, but it wasnt clear that it was only for AIV until after I registered because that's when I first saw a link for the terms. Oh, well.

Here are the terms:

To receive this promotion:

1. Register a Roku streaming player with Amazon Instant Video for the first time between December 3, 2012 and January 7, 2013. Only first time registrations are eligible - customers who register a Roku steaming player that was previously registered are ineligible for this promotion. Limit one per customer.

2. Your credit in the amount of $5 will be automatically applied to your account after successful registration and will be applied to your purchase or rental of eligible movies or TV episodes. This credit will expire on March 31, 2013.

just picked up a roku player today, wanted to be able to have a dedicated box for streaming and not keep using my bd player, i received by the amazon credit and vudu credit for registering.

so far i am pleased with the roky, just bought it today but as long as it doesnt breakdown after a short time, i know ill still be pleased with it,

thogh i am enjoyong the roku, i will still buy, coolect, rent and watch blu rays
