Default Favorite or Best 10 Disco Songs

What are your favorite Disco or Post-Disco songs? What do you think are the ten best Disco tunes? Here are mine:

1. Bee Gees ‎– Tragedy (1979)

~ Hypnotic and full of energy, one of Bee Gees' best songs fusing pop, funk rock and disco.

2. Donna Summer ‎– Last Dance (1978)

~ The Queen of Disco hits the sweet spot and winning the Oscar for best original song. The movie it was included is pretty bad though.

3. Jackie - Under Fire (1979)

~ Produced by Terry Britten (Tina Turner) Under Fire was a club favorite in South America and Australia but didn't sell enough units to register on any charts. It is a cover version of a song by South African girl group Clout released the same year. Discophiles claim Jackie's version is one of the best unheard disco songs ever.

4. Patrick Cowley & Sylvester ‎– Do You Wanna Funk (1982)

~ Funky Post-Disco classic that doesn't seem to get enough praise.

5. ABBA ‎– Summer Night City (1978)

~ ABBA had issues with the song, apparently it was rubbing them the wrong way. Nonetheless it became a hit and is one of ABBA's more underrated disco efforts.

6. Gibson Brothers ‎– Que Sera Mi Vida (If You Should Go) (1980)

~ Disco/Dance classic that still holds up well.

7. American Fade ‎– I'm Alive (Let's Move On) (1983)

~ Cover version of a more or less unknown 1979 song. American Fade was a Canadian group that scored a minor hit with I'm Alive in the UK. Underground Post-Disco with a heavy dose of Hi-NRG.

8. Baccara ‎– Yes Sir, I Can Boogie (1977)

~ Charming Euro-Disco from Spain with production roots in Germany. Yes Sir, I Can Boogie was a smash hit back in the day, but seems to be unknown in the US.

9. Kiss ‎– I Was Made For Lovin' You (1979)

~ In my opinion the best Kiss song

10. Amii Stewart ‎– The Letter (1980)

~ Amii's attempt to recreate another hit, but her Knock on Wood cover version was just impossible to top. Still, The Letter delivers the goods and is catchy as hell.
