Question cleaning records/vinyl

What's the best way? I had the RCA discwasher and seem to have lost that over the years and since I playing my stuff more which means I should clean more.

So should just get another RCA or other discwasher or what? I don't have a lot so something good but inexpensive would be nice to find.

thanks!

I have a Spin Clean MKII record washer.

For me I found it was worth the investment. Does a good job at cleaning the old vinyl finds from Goodwill of Pawn Shops.

If you just need to dust and debris, I find these rollers, of which this is just one example, work great.

Many people use wood glue, just add glue on top of the record and smooth it out with a business card while the record is spinning, let dry and peel it the next day. It sometimes makes a huge difference as it is pretty efficient removing dust and gunk. Obviously it doesnt do anything to scratches but if the vinyl is just dirty, it’s a really efficient way to clean one

I use the following:

I start by cleaning the record with and electrostatic brush and brush the dust into one pile, then I brush the dust off the vinyl with a long hair anti static brush.

Spray bottle: filled with half 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and half Distilled Water
Spray bottle: 100% Distilled water for the rinse

I also use a Label cover clamp as to not get the label wet (it also doubles as a good handle for the record while cleaning)

I have two MoFi MSFL Record cleaning brushes one for wash and one for rinse

Wipe dry with an extra soft fiber cloth. Put into MoFi inner sleeve.

As already mentioned, the spin clean does a fine job. I have a record doctor vacuum it does ok as well and cuts the drying time down.
