India/Bollywood Recommend a Blu-ray THREAD

We can use this thread to ask for advice on which blu-ray to buy.

I'm ordering The Amazing Spider-Man which is being shipped on the 9th. The problem is that I need to buy another BD to ensure that it will be shipped in a box.

Any recommendations? I'm looking for something in the 7-14 $ range. Most of us know each other's taste in this forum.

Right now, I'm thinking of buying either 'Miami Vice', 'The Town', 'The Campaign' or 'The Watch'.

Any other recommendations?

You could order Season 1 of the Spectacular Spider-Man series on DVD (Amazon link). It was a short-lived (2 seasons in all) but very entertaining series, more action-packed per episode than all the Spider-man live action movies put together.

Thanks..
Checking it out right now..

Would you recommend The American over The Town?
I'm not looking for action in the movie. I want a really absorbing thriller like Argo.

Haven't seen The Town. American doesn't really have a gripping story as such, but I find it a very relaxing watch and it's definitely a visual treat...ridiculously hot women too

^I used to see ST:TOS when it aired on Doordarshan on Sunday mornings when I was a kid. I'm a fan. To kids of a later generation the stories may seem campy and production design dated, but for me that's part of the charm.

Thanks, I just placed an order for Season 1 . Yeah I agree, the campy nature, bad costumes and overacting are things I'm kinda looking forward to. Have you seen Lost In Space? It's very similar to Star Trek : The Original Series.
