Who would you like to see direct The Conjuring 2/Insidious 3? - Blu-ray Forum

The Conjuring 2 is already supposed to happen, and as long as Insidious Chapter 2 is a hit we'll see a third. Since James Wan said he's done with the horror genre, who do you think should take over these series?

honestly I'd like to see them stop churning out all of these similar horror flicks, much less sequels!

Leigh Whannel wrote Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2 so I want him to return to write the third.

It's too bad someone like Gore Verbinski couldn't direct The Conjuring 2 but he's too big a name now. The Ring was fantastic. It would surely be a bigger hit than his Lone Ranger

I could see them getting James Watkins for The Conjuring. I thought The Woman in Black was only so-so but it was well-made, and I loved his Eden Lake.

Maybe Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project). I thought Lovely Molly was great and creepy as f*ck.

While usually his films are pretty violent if he could tone it down I think Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes) would be great. He's really talented.

This wouldn't happen but Lucky McKee showed great directing promise with May and the very stylish The Woods. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a big break.

The Conjuring should stay a stand alone movie, but yeah that won't happen. James Wan should at least finish his trilogy of Insidious. I just prefer the idea of directors finishing their own trilogies. Same goes for JJ with Star Trek.

James Wan needs to continue doing what he does best.

A Conjuring Trilogy and an Insidious Trilogy would make me rather happy.
