Wink BABY (2015) Blu-Ray from T-Series

Here are the Screenshots!

http://www.zulm.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=13450

As a thriller, I thought it was average. suffered from poor chemistry and length.

It's only positive side is Akshay's career defining performance.

The BluRay released a bit early I thought! a good sign.

Whoa, those screenshots look excellent (I assume this was digitally shot considering there's great detail and no/minimal grain). I haven't seen the film, heard mixed reviews going from excellent to flawed. Perhaps I may get it as a blind-buy.
Can't find the blu-ray listed at Induna, Flipkart, Rhythm House...where is it available?

Not as good as SPECIAL 26 from the same director. Lacks chemistry. uneven screenplay. Anupam Kher is competely wasted. Movie suffers from not having strong antagonist like Manoj Bajpai. Hence no repeat value like SPECIAL 26. Strictly a one time watch because of Akshay's steller performance. IMO a career defining one.

Okay, in that case I might get this one on DVD instead, like I did with Ugly. Easier to pass on after the one-time watch. Not that Ugly was strictly one-time, I would still consider a BD of it. I hope to hear some news of a BD for Badlapur soon.

Thumbs up Movie Review

I have seen this movie in theater and I must say this movie was really good. Akshay's performance was a top-notch. If you all liked Holiday movie then this will definitely be a treat for you. I was eagerly waiting for blu ray and its out now which is excellent news..

Personally I would rate this many, many notches above Holiday. Which quite honestly, I found to be crap.

^Hahaha, was thinking the same, and I haven't even seen that film. Suffice to say that Vipul Shah + Akshay Kumar is a formula for a superhit crapfest.

BABY is not a bad movie. Its above average one. It is a bollywood inspiration of ARGO clearly. But failed to be a very good one at that. It tries too hard to be a thriller. & yes it is much better than HOLIDAY which was below average.

I will still buy BABY on BluRay just for Akshay's steller performance! He clearly rose above the lousy script and delivered his career best here. It also has great production values.

BTW. Dont believe that IMDB 8.3/10 rating. Its more like 7/10.

I got the DVD of this, and it was pretty shocking..........mainly because of the massive T Series logo that keeps on popping up in the top right hand corner.

As for the film itself, I enjoyed it, but it was a bit too long. However, the bluray is probably worth buying for the comical comments on the back cover - "One of the finest films made ever in the history of Indian Cinema"?! I suppose we can't expect any more from Bollywood Hungama!

Thanks for the heads-up. At that price I can easily justify it as the cost of seeing it at the cinema.

I saw BABY on BluRay today. Realized it is definitely worth getting it on Blu-Ray. I'm glad I did.

on the negative side.

The Digital DOP is a big let down imo here. There are scenes in Dubai and Katmandu and much of the whole movie that looked too pristine and polished. It just looked too artificial and movie ended up looking small budgeted.

I again realised there is something normal about "film" cinematography. The way MI: Ghost Protocol IMAX film Dubai desert shots and BABY desert shots here is a difference between excellence and poor.

I was completely underwhelmed. & I have both movies on Blu-Ray.

Again highlights, Bollywood is taking easy way out just like Hollywood with RED EPIC and ARRI ALEXA.

Guys:

I just saw SPECIAL 26 (T-series) BluRay by same director Neeraj Panday just to make comparisons to BABY (T-series ) BluRay.

I have to admit, BABY BluRay has considerably better PQ & AQ but SPECIAL 26 is more entertaining and better.

Here is the difference.

SPECIAL 26 feels like a movie with higher production value despite having half a budget of BABY & despite average VQ on BluRay I enjoyed it lot more because of the "Film" cinematography. Thats just my opinion BTW.

BABY has twice the budget of SPECIAL 26 with better DOP with Nepal and Abu Dhabi but "DIGITAL" cinematography just killed it IMO despite better BluRay quality both audio and video wise. I just did not feel the desert and mountaineous locales here. Again, just my opibion.
