Gamestop returns?

I am gonna return a ps3 to GS today but I lost the Receipt. I am also a Power up rewards member so can they look up my transactions? i plan to exchange it because the fan on the ps3 sounds like a plane taking off.

Gamestop is VERY anal about returns without a receipt....I'd rather you start looking for that receipt...it'll save you a TON of headaches...

Maybe you should call them on the phone and explain beforehand instead of posting about it here. The times it takes to call and ask is FAR more effective than posting on a forum where you are going to get a wide variety of answers and none of them may help you.

However I can all but guarantee that they will only give you store credit without a receipt.

I am not trying to sound like a jerk, but it really is a waste of time to ask us.

It's always easiest to just call on the phone. The GameStop I frequent is very friendly, but I have never asked to return something without a receipt.

Usually (I haven't gotten anything since getting screwed over by them), the receipt does say that no returns are accepted without a receipt within a set timeframe. That's always reiterated when such a purchase is made, especially for something big like the PS3....you'd think people in general would know that having that receipt is like gold....you never want to lose something like that!!
