Long story short. A friend and I were discussing Zero Dark Thirty coming out and I realized that I am not very excited about it. The discussion went into war movies in general and I guess I am not fond of them.
I then said that I really enjoyed Black Hawk Down due to the musical score. I looked it up and it wasn't even nominated in 2002. Lord of the Rings won that year, which is fine, although to not put it ahead of AI, A Beautiful Mind, or Monsters INC. is sad. I think it is one of the best film scores in recent years. Listen to these two if you aren't sure of the key melodies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&v=BWAhVbayGv4 |
