United Kingdom Taken - Messed up subtitles?

Couldn't find a thread on this release in the UK forums sorry, so have made my own. I'm just wondering about Neeson's Taken on blu-ray, where foreign languages are spoken in the film (mostly French, Albanian). From what I have read from the region 2 release of 'Taken', is that English subs do not appear in these foreign language parts - unless full subs are selected.

Apparently this problem was fixed for the US release, but not for us here. However, the reviewer from the main blu-ray.com site has questioned whether english subs were even supposed to have been included:

Quote:
This being said, there is a very small portion of Taken where Liam Neeson confronts a gang of Albanian human traffickers where French and Albanian are spoken but English subtitles aren’t offered. From what I understand, some viewers are convinced that English subtitles should have been included. Well, this could very well be the case, but I would not be surprised if this is how Taken was meant to be seen by English-speaking audiences - unsubbed. On the other hand, I am fairly certain that this UK Blu-ray release is an exact replica of the French Blu-ray release, so 20th Century Fox might have just dropped the ball on the English subtitles. For the record, the Blu-ray disc also offers optional English HOH, Castellan, German, Italian and Russian subtitles.

Can anyone with this title on blu-ray actually say that the subtitles problem exists, and whether you think that it has a negative effect on the release of the film? I really loved Taken when I watched it in the cinema, but I don't want to waste nearly £18 on a poor blu release. Thanks for any info.
