Default How much does a Steelbook weigh?

I know this is a dumb question but i need to know how much a standard 1 disc steelbook weighs in ounces?

I sold a item on ebay and need to print the shipping label but it is asking how much does it weigh in ounces.

Any idea anyone?

Thanks

You're going to need the gross weight of the package, not only the steelbook! Whenever you ship a package at any courier service ,they'll weight the whole package to know the exact shipping rate. Or, you can package the item, take it to the post office, and just pay the shipping charge. Without a postal scale, it's going to be difficult to get the actual weight of an item.

I just weighed an opened, single disc steelbook with my kitchen scale for you. This does not include any shrinkwrap, J-card, or promotional inserts. Also note that THIS IS A STEELBOOK AND NOT A VIVA CASE! The weight difference between those two will be quite drastic.

1-disc steelbook = 5.5 ounces

So, you might be best to call it 6 ounces just to be safe.

So if he weighed it at 5.5 ounces, with bubble wrap and box its around 10 ounces i assume.....

It's best to weigh the entire package because, if it doesn't have right amount of postage, USPS may not delivered it, and be returned to sender for insufficient postage. Periodically, USPS will deliver the package, but they will hold it at the post office, and the person you've delivered to, will have to pay the difference before they receive it... Postal shipping charges, cannot be estimated under any circumstances! The package must be weighed to determine an accurate shipping rate, and for proper delivery.

most properly packaged are between 10-11 ozs in a small box about the size of what Amazon uses for STeelBooks

I use a different box and they can go as low as 9ozs

If people thought like that, then there would not have been so many mobile apps on the App Market.

Well apparently, the original poster didn't have a postal scale to weigh it himself! If he did, he would've have asked.
