Default Chances of VUDU switching World War Z versions?

So i purchased the preorder code for WWZ/Cloverfield bundle from a user on here about a week and a half ago.

Well I see today that they are selling that bundle on the VUDU store, but it comes with the Unrated Cut of WWZ.

Now, every preorder bundle I have ever got a code for has eventually popped up for sale on the VUDU store; maybe with a different cover picture or so, but the same versions of the film I received when entering my code, regardless.

This WWZ bundle is the first I've noticed where the featured new release has been an extended version.

What are the odds I could email VUDU and have them take off my Walmart bundle and add the Unrated WWZ bundle instead?

Yeah, I will always want the Directors/Extended/Uncut version of the movie over the Theatrical.

Same here man, same here.

Well I just sent a CS ticket, so hopefully I get an answer by tonight.

I'm just hopin they don't need some proof of authenticity or some shit...I mean the bundle is already in my account, you'd think that would be proof enough if they go that route. And even then...I wonder if this issue has to go to "our upper tier level of technical support will assist the matter and investigate and then get back in touch with you" or not...

I have a feeling that the UV code that comes in the actual blu ray will redeem the Unrated version...

Both Uncut and Theatrical versions are UV, according to Vudu's site.

Well I had a weird occurrence earlier this year redeeming Hansel and Gretel WH UV code...it gave me the theatrical, and for some odd reason, like 3-4 weeks later, the Unrated version popped up in my account too.

So now I have 2 separate versions to click on and watch.

I got that same one recently (last month) and it only gave me the unrated. We can hope. I would like to get it resolved though before I watch WWZ for the first time.

The pre-order packages come with a physical copy of the movie too and the combo pack will have a code inside of it - just use that code to redeem for the unrated version when it arrives. That is assuming the WWZ extended cut is an option for the uv code redemption of course.

I would do this, except I already paid $5 for the preorder code a couple weeks ago to someone on here.

I suppose if it get verified that the voucher inside the Blu redeems Unrated, I could just buy it again. It WAS in my top 3 movies this year so far, after all ;D

Just got an email back from VUDU CS...they refused to change out the bundles, because they said the Unrated version bundle is a different license than the preorder bundle I used.

Sucks dick, but it is what it is I suppose

Oh well. I was wondering that as well, as I got the Walmart Pre-order. At least I have the cool Unrated image as the poster art for it, even if the Unrated isn't splashed across it.

I redeemed the UV code on Paramount's site, it redeems the Theatrical cut.

When you redeem the UV code directly on VUDU's site, all you get is the theatrical cut.

Wasn't there a problem like this with Hansel and Gretel too (also a Paramount title)? I think for that one that people redeeming via Flixster got unrated like they were supposed to.....

So, where does one redeem a WWZ code to get the Unrated version?

Flixster?

No where. All sites only provide the PG-13 version.

Well if this title does pull a Hansel & Gretel, we probably won't see the Unrated cut in our lockers for a couple of weeks.

They probably go through a big investigation process and see how many complaints they get, and THEN they may add it into everyone's collection.

Wishful thinking though

For what its worth, the unrated cut doesn't have any new story beats, just some more gore (not that its a bad thing). While it certainly makes the film better, its not anything like a Kingdom of Heaven improvement
