Default Tim Burton's Batman's out of print?

I was on amazon the other day and saw that Batman and Batman Returns aren't available through amazon but are available through other retailers on their site? I checked Target, Walmart and Best Buy and they aren't listed anymore either? The Batman Anthology is gone as well? I want these 2 movies and am ready to kick my own ass for not getting them earlier. So are they out of print or what? Anybody know the story?

You can get those 2 movies in a amazon exclusive burton blu ray collection.

I had never heard of it till I saw a thread on AVS about Batman being OOP.

http://www.amazon.com/Burton-Collect...rds=burton+blu

Also you can get either the individual movies or the anthology on the cheap from Amazon.uk

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...pf_rd_i=468294

I would imagine if it's really going out of print there are already plans to re-release it.

The film's 25th anniversary's in 2014, so I'd be surprised if WB didn't pull another release (though I doubt I'll be buying it).

all the previous era Batman films went OOP recently.
No idea what warner is planning, but apparently they wanted them all OOP before TDKR came out.

They'll probably re-release them soon. Maybe when TDKR is released on BD. I doubt they'll stay OOP for long. The Schumacher Batman movies are OOP, too, but that's not really a big loss.

I still have my eye on this Batman Digibook. Just biding my time until after September (wedding will be all paid for) and then it's game on for Blu-Ray buying.

Edit**

Please read that last bit in Wayne & Garths voice.

There are 206 bones in the human body. Which would you miss the least?

I think it's pretty obvious. Like other people have mentioned the 25th Anniversary (damn I feel old) is in 2014, and Warner Brothers has that huge anniversary paloza planned for 2013...

These are rip for rerelease.

Well, I'm just glad I got the original and "Forever", when they were done individually. I have no interest in "Returns", and though "& Robin" had some funny moments, the bad killed it.

That's the DVD version of the anthology.

I went to get the blu-ray links but it looks like only Batman is available through Amazon.co.uk themselves. Batman Returns and the Anthology are only available through third parties so I guess they're OOP in the UK as well and retailers are dwindling their stock down.

Obviously Warner is planning on re-releasing them next year. However, I don't think I would buy re-releases of these movies. The Anthology set I currently have is perfect.

The Anthology is $49.99 at wbshop. It used to be $39.99, but this is still cheaper than anywhere else. I received mine from them a few weeks ago:

I'd bet good money that not only does Warner repackage & rerelease these films when or just before TDKR hits shelves, but they turn around and do it again in 2014 for the 25th Anniversary.

I've noticed this too, but with the Dark Knight Rises being released in December I fully expect all the OOP Batman titles to be re-released either by Thanksgiving or on the day DKR is released. WB has a pretty good track record of doing this, putting titles OOP for a few months or so in order to make people that may not have wanted them want them, then once they think the demand has risen enough they release it again. I too am wanting to get these, as I wasn't really into buying movies until recently. If you don't want to wait and are OK with getting the Schumacher's films the anthology is currently on WBShop for 50 dollars(although I think it was 40 a few weeks back).

Is this set new or used at WBshop?
