Default Shane: UK release

Is there any news on a UK release of George Stevens' classic Shane on BD? I think it is available from every other major country's release.

I am hoping that the reason that the UK release has been delayed is because it will come out in both the OAR of 1.37:1 and the "optional" widescreen release as it was shown in some cinemas at the time. I have seen screenshots of the 1.66:1 aspect ratio and they look quite good.

I think its more than likely that when it does come it will be exactly the same as the U.S Blu ray

There's also a French release (identical to the US one) which might also be interested to import if the US one prove expensive (shipping fees, etc).

Sorry people, I should have made it clear. I have the US release already and like every other major release of the film so far, it is in the OAR of 1.37:1. That is fine.

But I know that Paramount released it in Widescreen in some cinemas. There are screenshots of that release and although there is some cropping at the top and bottom, the overall effect is quite good. I wanted a BD in the widescreen aspect just for comparion and addition to collection.

That would probably be the only way we'd get any extras after Paramount dropped them from their European BD releases.
