Default What can I do with a vintage Kenwood KR-9600?

I can't afford a nice multi-channel setup so I plan to use what I have.
I currently have a Kenwood KR-9600, and a pair of vintage DCM Timewindow 1A's.
I hate to admit it but here's how I currently have things hooked up:

Ps3-> TV via HDMI
TV-> 3.5mm out-> RC male/3.5mm female-> RC into receiver
DCM's-> receiver via speaker wire

I also have a record player hooked into the receiver.

Is there a different setup I can use? Would I benefit from an amp? Is there anyway to get an HDMI into the TV somehow through the Kenwood? I don't know as much as I would like to about audio components.
