Really surprised they included a Benoit match.

Seems like they are including all the War Game's matches through the years. So it's not too suprising. The E just won't ever hype Benoit but he won't be ignored. He's not removed from the title history of the WWF/E title, IC belt, etc... but no one's going out of there way to say "and one of Benoit's finest matches or wins."

War Games is one of my favorite types of matches from NWA/WCW so I'm really excited to get this...

Looks great! i’m liking that the Blu-ray exclusives include variations of the war games match from ECW and SMW and the main feature consists of just WCW. Nice touch.

True but they have gone through the trouble of editing commentary on DVDs, interviews mentioning his name, etc.

I wasn't going to buy this at all until I saw the Benoit match.

He was my favorite horseman and this is the one where he gets hand cuffed to the side of the cage and almost rips his own arm off. I'm almost certain this is also one of those matches where he diving head butts a chair off of the cage onto another person.

With the added ECW matches this is a MUST HAVE...as much as I hate to do it...A MUST HAVE!

To each his own...but my enjoyment of anything with Benoit in it has greatly decreased. I remember when he won the belt at XX, and hugged Eddy...used to be one of my favorite moments in wrestling.

In any case I will be buying this.

As someone who grew up on the old NWA, and liked it much more than the then WWF... I was really psyched to learn about this set a few months ago as I was never expecting it to ever be released.

My guess is you can thank HHH for it... He's been a huge mark for the War Games style match, even pushed to get Vince to book a War Game match for a long time. (it resulted in the Elimination Chamber, a spin-off from the War Games match). The E have the rights to all of WCW's name's, gimmicks and matches... but anywho...I'm looking forward to all the matches. Especially my favorite, the Dangerous Alliance vs. Sting and co.... It had everything in it. This match (War Games in general I mean) was one that helped put WCW/NWA on the map. It was creative and it drew crowds cause big stuff always happened in the War Games, from bumps to face/heel turns...

It really pains me to think that I will never see the falls count anywhere match with Kevin Sullivan and Chris Benoit. Those matches made Benoit.

Everyone has their own personal demons, but if I judged someone I liked professionally on their personal lives, i really wouldn't like anyone

is it on Hard Knocks? I don't recall that...hell I own that one, maybe I just didn't watch the matches

Indeed you are right. I guess it was one of those things where I was going to watch the matches later and never did. Good thing tomorrow is Saturday.

I just remember seeing him after a house show in germany and then the next night on clash of the champions seeing him limp to the ring covered in bruises just to do it again.

Him and Malenko getting the nod to be the new four horsemen was amazing.

It looks like a great disc. Regarding Beniot, what was did was unforgivable. However I don't think there is a person alive who would not agree that what that guy did in the ring was nothing but greatness.

Again to each his own, but its surreal how some people still worship this guy. His name was chanted at Axxes this year for crying out loud.

re watched the Kevin Sullivan match today and it wasn't the right one. He and Kevin had so many matches during that era, I remember now forgetting this because it was not the best one they could have put on there.

The one I was referring to was earlier when he had WOMAN as his manager and I want to say it was pre horseman.
