My advice? Get a list of various speakers together and go demo them for yourself. You'll get far better results that way instead of asking for a stranger's advice on the Internet.

Surround speakers are not as important as the front speakers. They don't even have to be from the same company as the front speakers. The two surround speakers you mentioned have about the same performance. If I had to chose one, I would pick the Def Tech speakers because in my opinion they are sexier.
